While it would helpful to identify if you were in fact a supertasker, the point is that people who multitask the most are also the worst at it. That is what the Stanford studies found, as well as that those who do not multitask as much as actually better at it.

So the likelihood of you being one of those select few, AND already being predisposed to multitasking is very unlikely. A more likely conclusion is that there are a few people out there who do not actively try to multitask, but are actually capable of doing it.

A test to find those people would be difficult, because following the conclusions of the Stanford study, they would not necessarily be interested in being tested.

The most important thing to come out of the University of Utah study is more evidence that multitasking degrades your ability to do each of the tasks you are attempting.

Well I don't disagree that most people are not multitaskers.

I disagree with your conclusion that says do NOT do it because you probably are not one!

How anti-intellectual. How about a way to test to SEE if you are one of the few and THEN conclude?

Since that test is probably too hard to come up with for this article, your conclusion could needlessly cause a talented person from not using their skills.
